Yangshuo, a sweet little town with 1400 years history, lies in the northeast of Guangxi Province, China, 65 kilometers southeast of Guilin. It is an incredibly beautiful place. Its limestone Karst Mountains, beautiful rivers and lush countryside have made it famous throughout China and the world. Its landscape has been the inspiration and subject for many poets and artists for thousands of years. Yulong River is the main tributary of Li River flowing through some of the most beautiful Karst (limestone) in Yangshuo. Bamboo rafting on Yulong River is a must if you want to experience the scenery at its best. Sitting on the reclining chair on the raft, along the way you see local farmers using the river for daily activities as laundry, opening areas so the water can go into the rice fields and bating the buffaloes. Caving is a very popular activity in Yangshuo. There are a number of caves riddling the limestone hills. They have attracted many caving enthusiasts to explore these years.
