Visit Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City in Beijing on this escorted journey. View the thousands of life-sized Terra Cotta Warriors in Xian before exploring Shanghai the "Oriental Pearl" city. Board on the Victoria Cruise to explore the wild gorges of the Yangzi River. Enjoy the magnificent wanders in Mt. Huangshan.  

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive at Beijing (-/-/-)

Transfer via: International arranged by you

Welcome to Beijing, where the capital, political, and cultural center of China lies. We meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, you have free time to relax.

Day 2 Beijing (B/L/D)

Beijing Palace MuseumAfter breakfast, begin the day's activity with a visit to Tian'anmen Square, the largest urban square in the world. Then, move on to the Imperial Palace, also known as the "Forbidden City", the biggest palace complex in the world. In the afternoon, visit Temple of Heaven, the place where the emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for good harvest. The Beijing Duck Dinner is served as Welcome Dinner.

Day 3 Beijing (B/L/D)

You will be accompanied by our local professional guide to one of the greatest world heritage sites - the Great Wall, Badaling section in the morning. After lunch, continue to the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb in the afternoon. Conclude the day tour after seeing the appearance of the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium) in the distance on the way to the downtown. The cheering Peking Opera (the national opera) is scheduled as the evening delight after dinner.

Day 4 Beijing / Xian (B/L/-)

After a relaxed breakfast at hotel this morning, tour to Summer Palace, one of China's largest and best-preserved imperial gardens. In the afternoon, you will take a ride in rickshaw through some old "Hutongs", lanes or alleys formed by lines of Siheyuan (a compound with houses around a courtyard) where you will visit some family. After visiting, take a flight to Xian, which is one of the oldest cities in Chinese history and has more than 3,100 years of history. Upon arrival in Xian, be met by the local professional tour guide and transfer to the hotel.

Day 5 Xian (B/L/-)

Xian Terra Cotta WarriorsBegin the day's activity with an once-in-a-lifetime viewing of the extraordinary 2,200-year-old Terracotta Warriors of China's first feudal Emperor, Qin Shihuang. On your way back to the city, stop at a mountain village and meet local residents. After lunch, you will visit to Big Wild Goose Pagoda which was built in 652 A.D. It contains a large volume of Buddhist scriptures which were obtained from India by the eminent monk of Xuanzang.

Day 6 Xian (B/L/-)

After breakfast, visit Shaanxi Provincial Historical Museum. This roomy, modern museum contains over 370,000 relics chronicling Shaanxi civilization and culture from as far as prehistoric times. The collection is strong in ceramics, bronzes, jade pieces, gold and silver items, ancient coins, and calligraphy mainly from the pre-Ming periods. After lunch, you will visit Xian ancient City Wall, which is the most complete city wall survived in China as well as one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world and Great Mosque.

Day 7 Xian / Chongqing (B/L/D)

Visit the Hanyangling Museum, the Mausoleum of Western Han Emperor Liu Qi on the way to the airport. Then fly to Chongqing and your local professional tour guide will expect you with comfortable transfer service. Have a brief city tour to the Panda House in Chongqing Zoo. After dinner, you will board on the deluxe Victoria cruise ship. As the ship departs from Chongqing at about 21:00, your relaxing Yangtze River cruise begins.

Day 8 Yangtze River Cruise (B/L/D)

Yangtze River CruisesShore excursion to Fengdu Ghost City (1:00-3:00pm)

Fengdu is where the devil lives, according to Chinese legend. They say that spirits go to heaven, and evil goes to Fengdu. The town is overlooked by Ming Shan Hill, home of Tianzi, the King of the Dead. The whole place has an eerie feel to it with deserted streets, tower blocks, empty shops and banks. The only people here are those who make a living from visiting cruise boats.

Day 9 Yangtze River Cruise (B/L/D)

Shore excursion to Lesser Three Gorges (8:00am-1:00pm)

The Lesser Three Gorges are the three separate valleys of the Daning River: Dragon Gate Gorge, Misty Gorge and Emerald Gorge. These lie on the lower reaches of the Daning, which flows into the Yangtze. The gorges are truly spectacular. Sheer cliffs soar up towards the sky from the brown-green water. Mountain tops hover above the ribbon of mist, disconnected from their roots. Its "subtle mountains, clear waters, pretty rocks, dangerous rapids, sharp turns, fantastic caves, and stalactites in various shapes" create the timeless beauty that you see in Chinese landscape paintings. Monkeys, mandarin ducks and other water birds can be seen loitering on big boulders in this area.

Day 10 Yichang / Shanghai (B/L/ )

Shore excursion to The Three Gorges Dam Site. Arrive in Yichang at 1:30pm. Disembark the ship then fly to Shanghai. Upon arrival in Shanghai, be met by local professional guide and transfer to the hotel.

Three Gorges Dam: the largest water conservancy project ever undertaken by man and it has been a dream for several generations of Chinese people. The construction of the dam formally began in 1994. The body of the dam was completed in 2003, and the whole construction will be competed in 2009. It will be 2,335 meters long, 185 meters high, 18 meters wide on the top and 130 meters wide at the bottom. The tourists can get access to the top of the dam and enjoy different kinds of photo opportunities.

Day 11 Shanghai (B/L/D)

the bund of shanghaiThis morning you will visit the Shanghai Museum which houses large collections of historical items. Then go ahead to the famous Yuyuan Garden an ancient classical garden, and Yuyuan Market. After lunch, visit Bund and Nanjing Road. After dinner you will enjoy a fabulous Acrobatic Show.

Day 12 Shanghai /Huangshan(B/L/-)

After breakfast, you will visit historic Zhujiajiao Ancient Water Town (50 minute drive from Shanghai). At Zhujiajiao, you will walk through Fangsheng Bridge, Beida Street, and the Xi Family Residence. You will feel as though you have stepped back in time. After your trip to this beautiful village, you will be driven back to Shanghai. Fly to Huangshan tonight. Upon arrival, be met by your professional local guide and escort your to the hotel.

Day 13 Huangshan (B/L/-)

Mt. HuangshanAfter breakfast, you will be driven 80 kilometers (1.5 hours) to Mt. Huangshan (Yellow Mountain), where you will take the cable car at Yungu Station to the top of the mountain. After checking into your hotel and lunch, you will go ground to visit beautiful scenery spots, such as the Brush Pen Peak, Lion Peak, and Xihai Grand Canyon. In the evening you will enjoy the sunset from the Cloud Dispelling Pavilion if the weather permit. Stay overnight at the summit.

Day 14 Huangshan / Shanghai (B/L/-)

On this day, try to get up early in the morning to catch the Mt. Huangshan's magnificent sunrise. After breakfast, you will descend the mountain by cable car. Drive back to Huangshan City to visit Tunxi Ancient Street and Ink Stone Factory before your transfer to the airport for the flight back to Shanghai.

Day 15 Shanghai / Departure (B/-/-)

Transfer via: International / Internal Flight arranged by you

After breakfast, you will be escorted to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
