Itinerary |
Day 1 Shanghai -Zhouzhuang - Suzhou (- / L / -)
In the morning, drive to Zhouzhuang(about 2 hours), which is a town surrounded by water with many branching streams, stone bridges and old residence with black tiles and white wells.
Visit Twin Bridge, Shen Family , Zhang Family and the ancient town.
Then transfer to Suzhou (about 1 hour), which is renowned for its beautiful stone bridges, pagodas, and meticulously designed gardens which have contributed to its status as a great tourist attraction. Visit the Tiger Hill and the Hanshan Temple. Tiger Hill is so named because it is said to look like a crouching tiger. Another legend states that a white tiger appeared on the hill to guard it following the burial of King Helu.
Day 2: Suzhou - Hangzhou (B / L /-)
Visit the Humble Administrator's Garden and the No.1 Silk Factory. The Humble Administrator's Garden is one of four great Chinese gardens. At 51,950 m it is the largest garden in Suzhou, and generally considered the finest garden in southern China. In 1997, Zhuozheng Yuan, along with other classical gardens of Suzhou, is claimed a World Heritage Site, listed by UNESCO.
Then head out for nearly 3 hours drive to Hangzhou, which is one of the most renowned and prosperous cities of China for much of the last 1,000 years and well-known for its beautiful natural scenery. Upon arrival in Hangzhou, you will be guided to visit the Dragon Well Tea Plantation, where you can learn Chinese Culture.
Day 3 Hangzhou / Shanghai ( B / L / -)
Today you will start your travel with Cruise on the West Lake. West Lake is not only famous for its picturesque landscape, it is also associated with many scholars, national heroes and revolutionary martyrs, thus embracing many aspects of Chinese culture. In addition, many ancient buildings, stone caves and engraved tablets in surrounding areas are among the most cherished national treasures of China, with significant artistic value.
Then visit the Lingyin Temple. Lingyin Temple is a Buddhist temple of the Chan sect located north-west of Hangzhou. The temple's name is commonly literally translated as Temple of the Soul's Retreat. It is one of the largest and wealthiest Buddhist temples in China. The temple and around features a large number of grottos and religious rock carvings, the most famous of which is the Peak Flying from Afar. Then visit the Six Harmonies Pagoda and the Tiger Spring. The water from the tiger spring itself seeps out from quartzite and is regarded as the third best in China. The water is popular for brewing teas, such as the local specialty - Dragon Well Tea.
Then be transferred back to Shanghai .
