Hot air ballooning is quite new activity in Yangshuo. It is amazingly interesting to get up in a balloon and see the spectacular surroundings from above and the scenery is except "Wow" and "Wow".
The ballooning company runs balloon trips twice a day. The first one just after sunrise and the other in the late afternoon.
 You have 2 different options:
- Just up and down at a stationary place, takes about 10 minutes
- A free flight. The balloon goes around in the area for either one or two hours.
The cost of fly hot balloon in Yangshuo is expensive by Chinese standards, but it is still a bargain compared to the west.
Warning: The balloon rides have had several accidents of late with pilot flames going out and balloons landing at a faster rate than would be recommended. Also the main flame is positioned relatively low, so if you are tall, you will be feeling the heat.
So, if you think it is worth the risk go up and you will probably have a great experience.
