The splendid Mt. Huangshan is located in Huangshan city in the east-central of China. Huangshan city offers efficient transportation by air, train, bus, etc.
Huangshan Airport is in the west Tunxi District, 7 kilometers (about 4 miles) from the downtown area. Huangshan Airport is a first class national airport. Boeing 737 and MD90 can take off and land there. There are flights to Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Hefei, Tianjin, Shenzhen, Fuzhou, Wuhan, Kunming, etc. From the airport, you can take the airport shuttle bus or a taxi to downtown of Huangshan City.

Railway transport is convenient, comfortable and ideal, especially for visitors from Suzhou or Shanghai. After visiting in Suzhou or Shanghai then take the overnight train, one can arrive in Huangshan city the next morning. The railway also runs through Huangshan city from Beijing, Qingdao, Nanjing, Hefei, Nanchang, Xiamen, Yingtan and Fuzhou. Huangshan Railway Station is on Qianyuan North Road, Tunxi District.

Travel to Huangshan city by bus is convenient. Huangshan is connected with nearby major cities such as Shanghai, Nanjing, and Hangzhou. The Bus Station is on Huangshan East Road. The railway station is about 10 minutes away. It takes about 9 hours from Shanghai to Huangshan city and just about 3 hours from Hangzhou. There are direct buses from the bus station from Hangzhou to Mt. Huangshan Scenic Area, which take about 3 hours and 45 minutes.
