--According to the locals, it can turn the old to young and improve intelligence in children and etc.
Yamdrok Lake, also called Yamdrok Yumtso, is one of the three largest lakes in Tibet. The lake lies to the south of Yarlong Tsangpo River in Shannan Region in Tibet surrounded by many snow-capped mountains and fed by numerous small streams. It has two long arms of water, making it look like a scorpion from the sky. This shape means you can never see its shape from around it. From Gyantse, you can see one arm, and follow it until it disappears around a bend in the shore which makes it difficult to estimate the size of the lake. But if you like to measure, you can try by foot. As Yamdrok Lake is a holy lake, many pilgrims walk around it and it takes about 7 days to walk around the entire lake.
